About the Author:

Rudolph Ballentine, M.D., is the author of Diet and Nutrition: A Holistic Approach, which is now in its seventeenth printing and has sold over 100,000 copies.

Dr. Ballentine graduated from Duke University Medical School and was appointed to the faculty of the department of psychiatry at Louisiana State University School of Medicine. He was a post graduate fellow in Ayurvedic medicine in India and directed the Himalayan Institutes Combined Therapy Department for fifteen years under the guidance of Swami Rama, the founder of the Institute.

Dr. Ballentine is a co-author with Swami Rama of Yoga and Psychotherapy and Science of Breath and has written or edited a number of other related works, such as The Theory and Practice of Meditation.
