If as a government, tribe, or individual you are not centered and secure in yourself, there will be fear all around you. This fear will be reflected in your thoughts, speech, and actions. If you are fearful you are less likely to enlarge your personal sphere or come in contact with those you are not familiar with. But if you are courageous and go to that mental edge, you will understand the elusive nature of security. And when you find that secure place within yourself, you can be an effective peacemaker because you will no longer be run by fear.
American Diplomat (1995-2000); Acting State Department Protocol Officer for First Lady Hillary Clinton during the 1997 First Ladies of the Americas Latin American Conference.
